Stand up to Trump!
In the year since Mark Carney became Prime Minister, two auto plants have shut down, 5,000 auto workers have lost their jobs, and thousands more in the auto supply chain have been affected.
This represents thousands of families who are left worrying about how they’ll pay their mortgage and put food on the table.
Canada’s auto sector employs 125,000 Canadians: these jobs are now at risk.
Donald Trump declared war on Canada’s auto sector. His goal: force auto manufacturing out of Canada and into the U.S. His tariffs have real consequences for Canadian workers and Canadian communities.
Mark Carney has announced up to $2.3 billion in EV subsidies, and American Made Ev’s are eligible for these subsidies. Canadian tax dollars should support Canadian workers, not American factories.
Conservatives are calling on Mark Carney and the Liberals to fix their auto strategy and protect Canadian auto jobs from Donald Trump by:
• scrapping subsidies for American made EVs until all tariffs on Canadian made vehicles are removed
• removing the GST on Canadian-made vehicles.
