Private Members’ Bill C-290, the Public Sector Integrity Act, is coming up for a vote. This bill strengthens the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act which applies to federal public sector employees who report serious wrongdoing in the workplace.

If passed, Bill C-290 would:

• protect more people, including former public servants and contractors, and would cover more cases, including political interference in the work of government professionals; and

• allow for a real investigation by the Auditor General or law enforcement to be triggered.
