Strada Aggregates Inc. has applied to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) for a quarry 
license under the Aggregate Resources Act (ARA).

If approved, the company would be permitted to extract and haul up to two million tonnes of 
aggregate per year from this location. 
Members of the community have raised serious concerns about potential impacts of the proposal — from 
environmental risks and traffic impacts to questions about long-term accountability.

The comment period will be open for 60 days, from September 18, 2025 - November 17, 2025.
