Bill C-335 (Defence of Canada Medal Act (1946-1989))

M.P. Carol Hughes (Algoma—Manitoulin—Kapuskasing) has introduced a Private Members’ Bill C-335 for the establishment and awarding of a defence of Canada medal for the men and women of Canada who served Canada during the Cold War.

If passed, this bill would allow a defence of Canada medal to be awarded to individuals who served in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), including reserves, as well as police organizations, emergency measures organizations, and civilian assistance organizations (such as St. John Ambulance) for their service during the Cold War.
